Hi I got this from Heidi's sister (another Lyn so she must be wonderful) so wanted to pass along
Hi,

This is Heidi's sister. Heidi is experiencing some technical difficulties at the hospital and asked me to forward along an update. She will send another update later tonight.

David's surgery was completed in 2 1/2 hours (at 11:30 AM). The surgery went very well. He was brought into Recovery and promptly stabilized. At around 1:45 PM this afternoon, they were removing the breathing tube and starting to get him into an alert state. David was fully awake at 2:30 PM and Heidi was allowed to visit with him.

I think all of the prayers and good thoughts worked.... Thanks!

Take care,
Lynn

David fully awake...I guess we'll be hearing the laughter from the hospital soon.

Hope he mends swiftly and without event. Thanks for relaying this.

Way too go David. I know both you and Heidi are releived that this is all behind you. Hopefully, you will both have some restful days now.

So, your surgeon was able to take out the hoositz and put in the valve thingy!! Congratulations! I hope the pump has not ruined your sense of humor!

I am taking all the credit!!!

I am taking all the credit!!!

My word, this is so good to hear.

Of course, I am sure this all happened as it should have because I lent him my guardian angel for the day!!!

We are so happy to know that all went well, and so quickly. Just can't wait to see his post-surgery posts...prepare yourself for a a whole lot of smiles.
