One last check on Ross before I head for home. My computer at home is fried and unless I get my new one hooked up this weekend I can't check in until Monday.

Thanks for the kind words regarding me as a messenger, but honestly, it's been easier for me to check on Ross than to wait for news! See, I've had ulterior motives all along!;) ;) ;)

I'm leaving town early tomorrow morning and won't be home until Sunday evening. Although I can call Ross, I won't have access to a computer for updates. Therefore someone (Bonnie? Anne? ) will have to keep us informed over the week-end.

If I hear anymore news before I leave, I will post it!

I will be glad to call. and I'm sure Ann will, too.And we will post..what he has to say.....I have talked to Ross at his home..and he has a very, soft, spoken voice..:) He's really not the mean, bad wolf he wants us to think he is..:p Before I call. I want to write down the # of replies ..he has received ..on this thread..I'm sure he will be thankful...:) to hear that..Bonnie

Could you start a new thread everytime there is updated news so we will know if there are changes.
Thanks

Lots of hugs and prayers

coming your way for both you and your family. The outpouring of love and prayers for you is amazing. You are indeed very special to all of us here. I think God really tests those who He has special plans for in their life. You are one of those people because through this forum you have touched thousands of hearts and we are all forever grateful. Hang in there!!

Ross was moved into a regular room today and out of ICU. I talked to him just a while ago. He is getting some food now which should make him feel better. He is restricted in what he can have.
They do not know the scorce of the bleeding yet. I had misunderstood him when he was so groggy yesterday. He did not swallow the camera. He had a scope done. Sorry for that wrong info.

Thinking of you!

Thinking of you!

I haven't been around much recently so, I've just read about Ross not being well.
Ross, I want you to know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. Get out of hospital soon and I promise to send you a nice picture in a bikini! LOL!! I'll get a nice one taken while Joe's here. By the way, he's arriving on Thursday and I can't wait!
Take care and don't panic, you'll be fine!!

Ross

Hello Friends...

I spoke to Ross and he is going to be with us for quite some more time.

He has also asked me to ask those who are calling to wait a couple of days before calling again. He is very thankful for those that care about him enough to call, but he is very medicated and wants to remember who is calling and what is being said.

It takes a lot of effort and maybe even lengthens his hospital stay when folks call.

Yes, that means me also..

So please flood this forum with your love and messages for Ross. We all know that he is going to be sitting in his chair at home reading this whole thing before long anyway.

If you have kind words for him, this is the place. I am also going to start a new thread in the smalltalk forum so that we have maximum coverage.

I wanted to call him, express our love and concern..but I wont..he knows...:)

ok, Hank. Wish I had checked in here first. Mary is away this weekend and asked Bonnie and me to check in w/Ross. I just did that and will report for this morning. Then no more calls from ANYBODY till we get further word from you. Everybody, your hear that? We have our instructions. Birdie, that means your site, too. It is for Ross' own health that we must leave him alone to rest until he is better and can handle phone calls. Please. Thank you.

This morning's report:

I just called and he sounds ROUGH. He said he is 'not great' and I could tell. He is so weak. He may be still bleeding; they don't know. They are taking him for a cat scan at 2:30. I assured him we are all praying for him and that we love him very much and miss him. He sends his love right back and said he's sorry (just like him, isn't it) and he'll be back as soon as he can.

Then I had to cry when I hung up.

Yes, Ann, I will let them all know. He told me last night he was getting to many calls and when the best time is for me to call him and I know he has been flooded and we do not want to over tax him. He needs rest.
Thanks Hank.

Thanks for the update Ann. And Hank, I'll respond here on this thread, too. I'm very glad you came on board to tell us to give Ross some space. He really is under the weather and needs the peace and quiet to heal.

I surely hope they will patch up that bleed soon.

Thinking of you, Ross. Please get well soon.

Marguerite

you know THAT is one thing i really like about having a careing page set up, we told everyone to get updates there, before we had a page it would seem everytime Justin (or us) would get to sleep, someone would call. I rember one time after a couple weeks in the hospital bursting into tears when the phone rang because it woke Justin and we were just so tired, but that was way before computers or cell phones

wow, i'm gone for 3 days and he goes and gets sick on us!!!
popular??? nah... well-LOVED? nah.....
gosh ross,
don't scare us like this!!! we miss you when you're not here. this place is just not the same without you (whether you are present or just lurking).
i think we all develop this sinking feeling in the pits of our stomachs when we hear that one of us in in the hospital (or just unwell).
wishing you would feel better soon and that the docs would find where the bleeding is coming from and take care of this quickly.
you are in our thoughts and prayers.

karlynn,
thanks so much for starting the thread...i wouldn't have known about this if you hadn't.
mary (and others), thanks so much for the numerous updates. it's helpful and comforting to know what's going on with ross.

be well,
sylvia
