A local radio personality (Ron McCellland) died suddenly yesterday at the age of 33. He was also a member of the Christian group Storyside B. He suddenly collapsed while playing basketball aboard a cruise ship on a cruise sponsored by the radio the radio station (FM881. The Promise). All attempts to revive him failed.

By all accounts, he was in terrific health. Due to the sudden circumstances, I cannot help but wonder if he may have had an aortic aneurism.

Another common suspect in such cases of sudden death is an undiagnosed Stenotic Heart Valve which just 'shuts down' (or can't provide enough blood flow) during exertion.

I was thinking arrhythmia because it seems like I hear about people making it at least several minutes before they pass away from a dissection or even a rupture. Tragic, regardless.
