stick a fork in me....i'm done.

stick a fork in me....i'm done.

it's no fun anymore. posts get deleted, so you lose discussions halfway
through. too many people seem to be complaining about things.
it's too racy, it's too sexist, it's too interesting, etc.

i don't want to have to worry about what i'm typing, don't want to have
to self-censor myself. it's just not worth the aggravation. so i have deleted
all my info, i am no longer involved. almost posted a goodbye thread, but
decided it just wasn't worth the effort. i still check the postings occasionally
but will not be participating. maybe in 15 years or so when the cow valve
needs to be replaced, but not for the foreseeable future. i was notified
about this thread, so am posting a final response.

you see, we're living in the world of grown-ups. and in this world we
all have the responsibility to refrain from being purposefully offensive.
we can however joke and make off-color comments within reason.
and we can choose to ignore statements that we don't fully agree with.
at least that's how things are in the reality i choose to inhabit.

unfortunately there are some pathetic creatures that don't understand
that we also have the responsibility to not be continually offended, and
unless something is really over the top, we should just keep it to our
own damn selves. you know who you are - you who don't have the
courage to send a pm asking to tone down the conversation. you who
are so miserable and small-minded that you feel the need to require
others to feel your suffering. we all know the type - the kind who say
"i believe in freedom of speech....but you shouldn't be able to say...."
well, screw you. i've got better things to do than worry about your
(in)sensitivities.

and to everyone else, thanks for your help and patience and your
understanding. you helped me get through heart surgery. it's
hard to explain, but it was actually kinda fun. a new experience.
i'm almost looking forward to the next time around. (almost.)
take care. good luck.

Say what.....!!!!!!!!!.......now what am I going to do for fun ???
Your sense of adventure, honesty, brains, and totally wicked :) sense of humour will be greatly missed.
Hopefully you'll reconsider ?

Sorry that you are leaving. Sorry that anyone would leave. I'm sure this site can use ALL the experiences we can get... then everyone benefits !!!

Wish I knew what the issue was... If you must leave, Good Luck and you are welcome to return any time. I did enjoy your posts.

Chou...I'm so so sorry you are leaving. You have managed to always make me smile whenever I have read your posts. At times, I've down right laughed out loud. I agree with you about a lot of things you had to say. There are always those people in the world who think every thing has to be done their way...to live up to their standards or expectations. It's a shame really that you are going on your way. I, for one, will miss reading your posts. Please let me know when you write that book, I'll be waiting to buy it!

Best of luck.

Kim

Somebody, quick.....discipline me.....I've been looking at the underwear section of the Sears Christmas Catalogue.

WOW you have a SEARS CHRISTMAS CATALOG? What year is it from? I was told they weren't making those anymore.

ahhh, Bina is missing our ChouDoufu already :(

It is sad to see/hear of someone departing from the forum, but I'm really going to miss you ChouDoufu. Love your sense of humor and always loved to read about your adventures.

This book that Kim speaks of, I would like to have a copy too.

Good Luck in all of your endeavors and may you continue to be healthy and strong.

Take Care

I've seen some from before I was born....they have surprisingly good underwear ads too.:D
A couple of years ago they started sending catalogues in CD format and I complained bitterly. Now I am back to getting the real thing, a huge book, about 5 pounds of glorious, over priced crap that I really dont need....:p
