Just talked to Deb's Hubby Dale. Deb is still in ICU waiting for a bed, hopefully sometime this afternoon she will be able to have her own room.

"The breathing tube was removed after a couple of hours after surgery and the other wires and stuff were removed this morning - She's doing amazing well and her spirits are good" as Dale put it.

Hubby sounded good and not so stressed out and he had a good sleep last night. Deb's daughter will be there later this afternoon with her granddaughter, the apple of Deb's eye.

So, everything is good and I'll try calling again on Monday.

thanks, freddie, for the update. It must be a load off Dale's shoulders, I don't know how other halves make itthrough under ordinary circumstances, but with zipper2, it has been quite the ordeal.

Good to hear things are going well, it is always good to get to your own room and out of ICU. Hope they find a bed for her soon, and that she continues to do as well as she has so far.

Happy to hear all is good.
And regarding the ICU...atleast you get free TV service and
don't have to worry about a room mate. Hopefully she will
be home real soon. Thanks for update:)

Well, it's not all that bad to be in the ICU a little extra time. That's where the best care is. Thankfully, it sounds like she is doing very well otherwise, and that's great.

Yea Deb!!!! You go girl!!!! Wishing you the smoothest of smooth recoveries. Thanks for updating us Freddie!

Happy to hear things continue to go well. I was in ICU for 2 days and got great care. I know she will like having her own room on the floor because after a few days you can get a little crazy in the ICU.

As you all are likely aware, I was hoping to see Zip in the flesh today. Something happened that turned that plan on its ear and so, I called the cell. Deb is still in the ICU for want of a bed. Dale assured me that she's doing beautifully.

She's had to have rhythm intervention due to her afib not settling down as they'd hoped after the ablation. The docs are sure that meds will control this and are wishing (as are we all) that time will calm her fluttery heart and once she's healed well, then maybe her heart will revert to a normal sinus rhythm for always and not just when it feels like it.

I sent her our hugs and wishes and I know D&D will be in touch as soon as they have an internet cnx to hook up to.

Take Heart, everyone... there was some talk about Vegas being a nice, cheap WARM place to convene sometime... I'll have to start setting some gambling money aside :p
Pamela.

Thanks for the update.

I'm not surprised she's having rhythm issues. Her heart has to be pretty mad at her at the moment. I hope she has a smooth recovery.
