I started my day just like any other day.. decaf, breakfast, gym. On the way to the gym my heart started racing and I wondered if I had accidentally used my husband's caffeinated coffee. Still felt that way and just "off" when I got to the gym, so decided to do an easy workout. I usually speed walk/hill climb on the treadmill but just set it on low and was going to do an easy walk. Maybe 5 minutes in, my heart started racing, funny feeling in my chest and a little shaky. Decided just to leave.. then on my way out I realized the date and that two years ago today at this time I was on the table for my first OHS, which was very traumatic (they all are, but it was much harder on my body than the 2nd one, lost blood, bad repair, etc.) I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had a response like this on their OHS anniversary? Or I'm just nuts or having a bad day, just a coincidence, or all three.. (turns out I did not drink caffeine, hubby is actually out of his coffee). I'm just going to stay home and relax today.

I can't help you but want to say congrats on the 2yr mark. I remember clearly how tough of a time you went thru so glad to see you doing things like go to gym ect. Lyn

Happy Anniversary!!:) ? I would not think that what you felt was related to your anniversary as you realized it after you felt the way you did ? if it continues give your cardiologist a call.

I am actually feeling better now.. thanks for your responses, maybe I am just having an "off" day and it is all a coincidence.. I did realize earlier in the week that today was "the day" so maybe it was in the back of my mind or something.

It's possible that your mind thought of it before you realized it. Hey, we all go weird things at times. So long as your ok now. Congrats on the anniversary too!

the sub-conscience mind has probably been active before you realised it! but who knows spooky how some coincidences appear to happen

CONGRATULATIONS #2 VALVERSARY....enjoy your day and it was all

to remind you to celebrate, and buy hubby some coffee :p

Have a great calm day.

Just passed my 2nd anniversary and I have not had any problems at all! But this week I go get a EKG and come home with a monitor because of slight Afib going on. I am just mad, I am waiting to get my report. They said he was on call at the hospital and it was hopping on the cardiac floor! So I feel just fine and not having the flips and such as much the last couple of days. So I am not sure what is going on with me I guess all I can do is wait and see! Good luck! I think mine might have been stress, and the food of the holiday's which I got off my diet! And I was just thinking great two years and I feel fine!

I'm with the coincidence camp I think ? However I'm glad you're feeling better now and congratulations on two year anniversary... It's inspiring to see how much you work out too ! I'm 4 weeks since surgery and beginning to feel like I'll never be fit again even though I'm walking over an hour a day, isn't it a slow old process !?

Congratulations on your second valversary and I agree with most here- if it happens again it is time to give the cardio a call

Approximately a year and a half after my repair, I was sitting and reading (an article that got me riled up a bit). All of a sudden my heart started racing. I was in a panic, but I lay down and tried to relax. It went away after a couple of minutes, and, knock on wood a million times, it has never happened again. So, let's hope that it's the same thing for you!

Congratulations, Hally,

I am always fascinated by our psychology and how each of us reacts in certain situations and different from others. I tend to believe like you that your mind remembered the date before you did and reacted accordingly. I am glad you are fine now and let's hope this is the end of that episode.

Many happy healthy returns :)
