Tissue valve anniversaries

Hi Folks,
I see quite a few postings from mechanical valve recipents in this forum. I am 50 and went with a BAV - bovine tissue valve earlier this month. Are there folks with tissue valves out there that can share theire annivesrary information ?

enkaynj, just celebrated 3 years on May 19, 2011. Everything going good for me.

Quite a few of us don't mention our valve type since it is a non-issue. But since you asked, I just celebrated 6 years with a bovine implanted for aortic stenosis. I was 53 at the time.:smile2:

Three + year tissue valve here....... mitral valve and so far as I know, all is well.

I got my bovine valve 3 years ago this past March. Everything is going great. I had a few bumps in the first 6 months after surgery but since then I've had no issues. Normal life now- The only time I think about my valve is when I log in here and read the posts.

Hi everybody,

I`m in the tissue valve club to lol. Mine lasted 11 years. Had a tricuspid tissue valve in Jan 2001 aged 31. I`m 42 now waiting for my 2nd valve replacement. I had a great 11 years with my tricuspid tissue valve, led a completely normal life. I`m very systomatic now,can`t do much. Hope my next valve is as good as my first...you guys are amazing.
