Can't Even Post Without Ross

I tried to post earlier, but think I must've timed out on the site. Ross used to help me in the old days, but I forgot the steps. I saved it to my computer, and will try to attach it: That doesn't work either as it won't take it in microsoft word which is how I saved it. Ha! I'll try to re-post later or somewhere else. Maybe Ross wants me to remember his instructions! Anyway He is my brother, and I love him. You can see how dependent I am on him, and a little of how invaluable he was to me!

Truly the world has lost a fine man. We will never know how many people Ross touched, but we know they are all grateful for his having been here.
Rest in peace, Ross.

Just want to share my condolences to Ross' family. I wish I could've told him how much he meant to me. When I stumbled on this site 11 years ago, I was a very scared 19 year old kid. Ross welcomed me with open arms and helped me so much. I will never ever forget that. He will forever live on in all our hearts.

When I first started here, there were a whole bunch of threads that RossMan authored that I learned a lot from and this is what got me very interested in learning more. RossMan, we never met or had a conversation, but you changed many lives with your information and in your honor we will continue the trend and keep on doing the same.

my deepest condolences to Ross' family.

Ross was one of kind. I always admired how Ross faced all of his difficulties with courage and patience. I often wondered if Ross ever slept! He was always online any time, day or night, wanting to give all he could when he could!

May your soul, Ross, rest in eternal peace. You shall always be remembered.

Eva, actually, you are right in thinking he didn't sleep much. He slept in short bits and pieces. He just couldn't sleep for long and was always a the computer - ready for whoever wanted him.

Dear Ann,

I knew he could not sleep long for physical health reasons, and this was what made him"ROSS MAN"... the Man who despite his pains and difficulties was waiting on his computer for the one who needed urgent advice, and Ross was there to give him peace of mind with the wise advice!

I found this poem years ago and saved it on computer but this morning Billy sent it to me and I am putting it here as his memorial for Ross.

Tomorrow

When tomorrow starts without me and I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me, as much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready, in heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye
For all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for, so much left yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday, just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you and maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized, that this could never be,
For emptiness and memories, would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through Heaven's gates, I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me, from His great golden throne,

He said, "This is eternity, and all I've promised you.
Today your life on earth is past, but here life starts anew.
"I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last,
And since each day's the same way there's no longing for the past.

"You have been so faithful, so trusting and so true.
Though there were times you did some things you knew you shouldn't do.
"But you have been forgiven and now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand and share my life with me."

So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me, I'm right here, in your heart.

I love this poem, Ann. I had seen it before but in a condensed version. In fact, the shorter version was written on my relative's obituary when he passed and I loved it so much I told my husband that's what I wanted printed on my obit. card when I pass. Weird huh?

I am extending deep and heartfelt sympathy to the entire Young family. May his beautiful memories help give you comfort. Your family is in my prayers. I will always cherish the fond memories I have of Ross that will forever live in my heart. He has touched so many lives all around the world. All of Ross’s posts on heartvalvepatients.org and Valvereplacement.com. will continue to help others on their heart journey.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5: 4

ah...Ann, according to the obit, the service is Dec 14.
Our fond memories will always be present no matter what day it is.

Tomorrow is the funeral. I will sit quietly for awhile with fond memories. Blessins.....

I will join you, Ann, today and again on the 14th. I shall lit a candle tomorrow in church in Ross' memory.

Peace.

Thanks for sharing, dear Ann,

Great and very appropriate!

I'm going to save it on my computer to be read when my time comes! Blessings ...
