Probably a stupid question, but here goes....

Everyone with a mechanical mitral valve knows the familiar "ticking" noise we live with...like a watch or a clock is inside your chest. For the last several weeks, off and on, I have noticed a new sound. It's more of a "click," just once, then resumes the familiar tick. Has anyone else ever noticed anything like this going on with you before? Thanks!!

Sorry, can't say that I have, but I can only hear mine when I'm alone in a silent room.

During the first 18 mths post op whenever I thought that I heard changes I made sure to have my doc listen to the valve. So far, so good.
