Was not sure if new thread was warranted for this, but I have another competition coming up on March 23rd, 2013. I have been training for it since January 2nd, 2013.
This time I am deadlifting only and hope to send a lifetime PR. My training for past 13 weeks was pretty tough, and I have worked my butt of.

At 6 month post surgery I squatted 457, benched 280 and deadlifted 530 - all competition lifts with judges and all.
At 9 month post surgery I squatted 475, benched 325 and deadlifted 565 - these were in the gym, and might as well not count

This time, its going to be just several days short of 12 month after OHS and I am deadlifting.

Come on baby! Do this! I'm in better shape now after surgery than I was before surgery. I'm now 188 pounds people telling me I look lean. Following some of your diet V. I'm throwing around 50 pound dumbbells and running 24 miles a week. I couldn't run 1 mile before surgery... DO THIS V!!!
 
Quick post before I go to sleep. I did not get 600lbs deadlift as I had hoped to, but I did set a small personal meet record post OHS with 556lbs, and also, for the first time since deadlifting in 8 month now I was able to be explosive when picking up weights. There is silver lining to everything. ;)

There are days when you wish you got more, and there are days when the silver lining is lots more important than anything you got. My explosive speed off the floor is back!!!! Compare any of my training deadlifts to these and you will see what I mean. Took a long time for this to come back, but now that it's here I cannot wait to see what happens when we fix my lockout and positioning issues.

Even though I did not get what I trained for almost 5 month to get, I feel victorious since something that I thought I lost, namely, explosive speed off the floor, has finally come back.
 
Glad you feel victorious with your accomplishment. I'm not a gym jock but do go for some easy upper body workouts so I can hardly imagine what you do. However, as a runner, and I'm sure the others will agree there are days when we wish we had more. I train hard for races of different distances but on race day sometimes I have it and others I don't. I'm always happy when I finish any race vertically, regardless of my time. I know there is no way I can possibly get to where I was pre-surgery six years ago, but I'm happy to be able to run.
 
Great job. As I often say..never give up! Your suucesses inspire and provide hope to all. On my second day post op I asked my surgeon when he thought I could run again and iI remember him looking at me funny and telling me I should take it easy. Now he laughs at me when i tell him what I'm doing and what I plan to do. Now he just waves and says..you'll be fine, listen to your body and build up slowly. He would love having you as a patient!
