Last night, my wife came home from work and shortly after, started having severe abdominal pain and vomitting. I ended up taking her to the ER last night. After 2 CATSCANS, they've found a cyst on her left kidney that is bleeding into and around the kidney and some blood is getting up into her abdomen. After her last layoff, they raised the health insurance premium so high that we could not afford it. People, don't go there!

I just got off the phone with the Doctor. He said that she has a deformed kidney that is barely functioning at all and that is it going to have to be removed. He want's to see how she does today and if there is any improvement. If not, he's talking emergency surgery to remove the entire left kidney, possibly tomorrow.

For once, I'm asking for prayers from all of you for my family. I have no idea how we're going to deal with this. Did you ever feel like you can never get a break no matter how hard you try?

Ross, I'm so sorry about this unfortunate news. My wife and I will definitely be praying for you and your wife. Other than the obvious, I pray that the peace that passes understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. I feel that I'm praying for a brother...since I've lost both of mine I'm thankful for those I'm finding here. My heart goes out to you. Wise

Oh dear, Ross-

This is tragic news. I just don't understand how some people can never have peace.

You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about your wife.

You and your wife will be in my thoughts and prayers. :)

I will most definitely pray for you and your family....and if you don't mind....will put you in my prayer chain....

Ross,
I rarely post these days but frequently peruse the site when I have a moment. I simply couldn't pass this one by without letting you know how sorry I am to hear of what you and those you hold dear are confronting. You've already handled more than your fair share of trouble and I know you'll meet this challenge too-I just wish you didn't have to. Please know that you and your family will very much be in my thoughts and I am only one among many. You've been there for so many of us, I trust you feel confident that our thoughts and prayers are with you now.

Prayers

Hi Ross.
I will be praying for you and your family. Count on it. I'm sorry this is happening to you. I hope all goes well.

Ross,
I am so very sorry to hear this news about your wife. My prayers will most definitely be with you and your wife. If there is anything at all that you need, please let me know. God Bless you both.

Take Care!
Gail

Ross, there are seldom good reasons for suffering, but there can be good responses. I am not suggesting that such good responses are easy. Far from it, I know my sufferings have not been easy. However, the more I make myself aware of God's love (whether I feel his love or not) the more God can change my negatives into positives. It's not what we do, but who we are that matters most in life; and its not what we endure, but the way we endure it that counts. It what make us who we are.

We will always be here for you and I will keep your wife and you in my prayers. I know the road ahead will be tough for you, but you WILL get through it. Keep the faith and we will keep praying.

Ross, I'm very sorry to read about your wife's situation. She (and you) are in my thoughts as this plays out. About getting a break - it sure seems that some families have to bear too much. Hang in there, pal-

Ross,
You most certainly have my prayers coming your way. My mom had the same thing happen to her and she has done just fine with 1 kidney. I definitely know the issues with not having medical insurance as well, and I know it's not fun, and it ruins ones credit. I too feel like you do, that no matter how hard you try, something always comes around to kick you right in the pants. I am having alot of problems myself right now, although they are not necessarily the same things, but I am/have been feeling like this.

I hope and pray for nothing but the best care for you and yours and please know that you are not alone in this. Harrybaby

My husband and I are sending up prayers for your family. You are such a good person and its just not fair when bad things happen to good people.
I will also start a chain prayer for you with my daughters church if that is okay with you.

Oh, Ross....

Oh, Ross....

You and your wife will be in my thoughts all day. I know you will keep us posted. I'm so sorry. Our arms are all around you.....

We love ya, Ross.

We love ya, Ross.

Ross,

What horrible news. Tell your wife we're thinking of her and sending her lots of positive vibes and thoughts.

Stay positive, Rossman... sometimes you just have to put one foot in front of the other until you get through it.

Rossman

I love you, man, and am so sorry to hear this news. Both of us will put you in our prayers....I know things will be ok for you. I'm not on posting much any more, but do check this site out often. You are all in our prayers.

Evelyn

Dear Ross,
You and your wife are in all our prayers. Please keep us posted and gain strength from all the prayers and best wishes flying your way.

Ross:

I'm so sorry to hear your wife is so sick and your strength is being tested once again. In the very short time I have been visiting VR I have found that you are a willing helper of others who is always sending good advice and good thoughts and good wishes and prayers out into the world--along with some good therapeutic humor! I firmly believe all that goodness will come back to you--just hang in there.

Look around Ross. You have and Lynne have 1200+ people walking alongside you down this road.
You said not too long ago, "Don't dismiss what the prayer power of a
large group of people can do."
Keep the faith.

Ross,

My wife, too, has a kidney cyst that is being watched closely by specialists.

I will be praying very hard for your wife and for you. Pray that these are problems that can be overcome.

Keep the faith.

Bob
