Yes, I do know how you feel. Even though I had the "mini incision", which is about 3 to 3 1/2" long, and the incision from the pericardial window is approx. another 1" I second that thought! Then of course, after what I went through it really does not seem to matter that much.
 
I chose to have mine done while I was still relatively strong and had great insurance. I don't regret that decision, even though I think it may have cost me my job about six months after I came back. Knowing that you've got a problem, and that you can't avoid having it repaired, I think it makes sense to fix it when conditions for you are the best.

I agree with this wholeheartedly (pun not intended, but it works :D)
