I am having one of my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow. I have never tried gas and think I might need to this time. I am kinda concerned about it interacting with my digoxin & beta blockers. I have a call into my cardio but the chances of hearing back before my appointment are slim. Anyone else have experience with this?

Perhaps if you ask your oral surgeon to contact your cardiologist you might have a much better chance of getting a response from your cardio. You'd think his office would at least return a call to other professionals if not to their patients.

Good luck. Hope it goes easily for you.

I tried gas when I had my wisdom teeth pulled a few years ago and I didn't really like how it made me feel. In hindsight I think I would have done fine without it. Normally pain is not a problem when I have dental work because the dentist does a good job administering Novacain. At the time I was thinking like you and thought the pain was going to be worse than normal. I probably won't use gas next time.

I think alot of how painful it can be also has to do with the tooth. IF the wisdom tooth is impacted or they have to dig a little to get it out, it hurts more than just pulling a tooth.
I cant help with the gas question tho

When I mentioned the valve stenosis prior to my deep cleaning, they IMMEDIATELY called my cardiologist. They didn't even prep me until they heard from her that it was ok to proceed. Personally, I would insist that they make the call. (or you could call as well)

I've had laughing gas before and i'm on a cocktail of meds, beta blocker included, I never had any problems with it (in fact would go as far to say i liked the effect ;) ) lol, hope everything goes well and your docs get back in touch ASAP!
Love Sarah xxxxxx
