Here in Ontario, you can get the Coaguchek XS through your doc and a pharmacy.
It would be shipped from Roche in Montreal to whichever pharmacy in your area that will provide the equipment and training.
First step is get a prescription for it.
Mine was $500.

The Coaguchek XS works for me.
It's simple (and I need simple) and quick.
Don't quote me on this, but I get the feeling that the XS is popular in Canada.
I used the INRatio a couple years ago and have used the Coaguchek XS for about 1.5 years. I like the Coaguchek best. Since you are canadian, you apparently can buy the machine for about 1/4 what the USA distributors charge.
