I am two weeks post Valve Replacement (Nov 13) and doing very well, but my incision site, which is healing great, itches and is very sensitive. Anybody have a miracle cure?

Nope ? no miracle cure ? I have found that theses things itch when healing , at least mine do?.just try scrubbing gently with a wash cloth and warm soapy water?.

Go to Baar.com and order a product called Scar Massage. It helped me.
I used a product called Norm-L Gel..... it is clear, neutral, and cooling.
Having ultra sensitive skin and well water, washing made mine itch worse.

You know 16 years ago they offered me an antiseptic,it was
for itch and healing....think i can remember name? NO,but it
makes me think again i,m gonna be going through this myself
and looking for suggestions also. All i remember was it was
yellow liquid and like a peroxide but not omg a burning type
it was soothing and smelled like listerine
K i kept the bottle and just dug it out it was called SAVLON and
it was the best back then ,now it has been discontinued here in
Canada,but for healing,itching,even for prevention of infection,oh
man it was great and i'm gonna check into getting some for my 2nd
surgery,you may be able to buy it where you live i donot know.

Very moderately priced.
There was also a British site as well as Aussie that sell it.
I guess I was very fortunate but I didn't have any itching from my incision either of my OHS. It never itched at all though I do remember (years ago) unrelated abdominal incisions that itched like crazy while they were healing.

Assuming everything is healing up and such for you, try moisturizer. My scar still itches quite a bit, and little skin moisturizer seems to do the trick most of the time. Unfortunately, it's not going to do much for sensitivity, of course.
