Dugald
Hope you get this in time, just before you go in. Mustering a host of guardian angels to guide your surgical team and to look over you every step of the way.. They will be there and you will be just fine ..

Well , it is full speed ahead right now.
Have to be there at the Ottawa Heart Institute for 6 am.
Taking it well but my family is getting stressed out.

Leaving this open so Jodi, my spouse can update this when she gets home.

Thanks for all the best wishes and see you on the other side!

I am new to this posting on forums thing...I think I put this in the wrong place the first time...?

Hello all..Dugald's surgery went smoothly today, and he is "over the mountain", or so he tells me! The surgery was only 5 hours long, which was shorter than expected. They had to remove the old valve completely due to calcification, but had no problem putting in the new one. He is in recovery and actually he looks better than he did last time...good colour in his face!

Jodi
