I had my AVR on 10/19 and as well as I can remember have not had a period in over 2 yrs. I had occasional hot flashes but nothing extreme. I had 2-3 mild flashes after the surgery and some mucousy discharge on 10/26 and then started having pink discharge on 10/28-29 and it continues. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something to worry about? I am not on any blood thinners but aspirin. I have an appt. with my PCP on Thur. but thought someone here might have an idea of whats goin on. Thanks

No, I've not heard of it among any post-menopausal women here. I would indeed mention to PCP at next visit.
I think it's related to the surgery. I'm confident you received lovenox injections post op, and that's enough to cause some bleeding even if you've not had a period for awhile.
You are correct I did have the lovenox injections. The only other thing was I was started on Crestor for cholesterol and I have read it can cause vaginal bleeding. I have an appt. with my pcp on Thur. guess I'll find out something then.
