Lyn- They think the problem in my thumb is a blood clot as a result of the ART line they had in my thumb during my c-section (they had me all done up in preparation for an emergency aortic surgery, just in case). They said there's nothing to be done but wait for it to work itself out. They said there's no risk of it dislodging and going anywhere, because my thumb would be the end of the line.
Lisa- No, my aneurysm was stable during the pregnancy. They watched it very closely, and I had an echo right before and right after the c-section, and it was pretty much the same size both times. This would have happened just in the last three weeks, which is why they were concerned enough to do the MRI. They don't want me to wait long, but they do want to wait til I'm at least three months postpartum. If they do surgery on my now, so soon after the pregnancy, they said I'm at a higher risk of bleeding.
Ross- The pain isn't bad, but it does make me nervous, with my blood pressure going up. The doc thinks it could be the ibuprofen I've been taking that has put up my blood pressure. He took me off it (and the percocet...gee, thanks, doc!) and raised my labetalol to 125 mg. It's still high. But maybe it needs more time.
