7th month Update

Hi all,

I still lurk here but haven't posted in about three months. Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm doing great after AVR. I do still have some bouts dizziness and frequent nose bleeds. Other than that I am feeling wonderful, I've lost 22# since surgery because I am able to walk again. My blood pressure is near normal most of the time, but I am slightly anemic still. Doc's won't prescribe anything the anemic condition so I am trying to supplement for myself.

Is it normal for post surgical patients to have anemia and nosebleeds? My nosebleeds seem to be getting more frequent.

Glad to hear your doing well,
Post op it is very common to be anemic, i was so anemic 4 months post op i needed a blood transfusion, (my blood count was only 6.7!)
Nose bleeds, are you on anti-cogulants? and if so are you within INR range?
