Hi All,

I just wanted to let you all know that I went to the doctor's on Friday and found out that my heart failure has progressed to stage C...I have been feeling really really tired lately (as I am now) and I am having a really hard time climbing the stairs or going from class to class at school (I get so SOB especially if I have to climb stairs....I am really worried at this point, but I intend to keep on going to school as long as I can, and I will find out hopefully at the end of this month what this will mean for me when I see a new cardiologist. Just wanted to let yall know. Harrybaby:eek::eek::eek:

Well at least you know what's been going on, that should be a little relief.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope your new cadio really helps you get some answers and feeling better. Keep us posted.:)

Sorry to hear this Harry and I hope the cardio has some answers and some help for you.

Harry,
Please keep us informed as you meet with your new Cardio. It's good to hear that you will continue with your schooling. We'll keep the good vibes flowing from this end.

Harry, I am so sorry to hear this. I think the school thing is great, and am glad you will try to hang in there. You are the one to judge your limits, just don't push too hard. All the best, Brian

Harry, sorry to read this, but best wishes that your new cardio will find some way round this for you.

In the meantime, any chance of getting a wheelchair or motorized scooter for getting around? It would certainly put a lot less strain on your body, and allow you to concentrate more on your studies, and less on getting around. Just a thought! Maybe even oxygen would help?

Keep working on it, Harry. You've chased doctors for years, looking for a good one, and now you've got a new one coming. Hope this one works out and develops a plan to move you out of CHF.

Your in my thoughts.

Best wishes,

Hi Harry, sorry to hear about the CHF. I'm a year post op and still have
some dilation(&HF). I fully relate to the STAIRS. It gets to the point where I
will get worked up and anxious on approach. I think the best thing is to
go ahead and take your time with them. I always pushed too hard, and
probably ended up overworking my heart even more. I know its not easy
to do,I was born the same year as you and we feel like we should still be
able to run up those suckers.
Is there any idea about your surgery yet? It seems this could get
things moving...I recall that you have been waiting awhile.
I have to admire you for continuing school,I know its not easy, but it is
probably helping you as long as you don't push too hard.I am really
hoping you get your surgery soon or atleast some meds that will help.
Sending my very best-Dina

Harry,
When I read your post yesterday, I couldn't reply cause it brought back some memories of my mom that I'm still trying to deal with 5 years later. I pray that your new cadiologist can provide you with some solid answers and help you to live the full and successful life that is intended for you. And I would second that recommendation of a motorized scooter and some portable oxygen. Take Care and God Bless You
