I was impressed with First Lady Michelle's reaction when the VMI cadets marched by in the Inaugural parade -- hand over heart, clapping, and then thumbs up! And I thought she looked lovely in the golden gown, and also in the white gown she wore to the Inaugural balls.

I think the dolls are neat and sweet. I would love to have a whole bunch of them. The green one is very cute. My kitty loves to sleep on and with dolls. I can just see her all cuddled up with the dolls in question.

And, in case anyone wants to know, my birthday is mid-March.

Not sure if this will work, but I'm going to try.

Inauguration?

Inauguration?

Presidency? Excuse me, but aren't they one and the same? :D

I think Michelle Obama is very stylish (love the sleeveless sheaths she wears - simple and classic - just like what Jackie Kennedy used to wear). However, I did not like the yellow color of the dress she wore for the parade (maybe it came through differently on the TV, I don't know). I did like the ball gown, but I like anything white, so that is probably why, but now that I hear all the comments on the dress, I think maybe the dress could have been more classic and elegant.

Sasha and Melia are 2 of the most adorable children I have seen (besides Emma of course). :)

No comment on President Obama. ;)

We saw quite a bit of the Inauguration on TV over here in NZ and it was great to watch. My son who is only 10 set his alarm so he could get up and watch it, as it started around 5am NZ time - he loves reading about American History and knows a lot about past presidents.
The Obamas look like a lovely family - the little girls are beautiful.
One thing we enjoyed watching and listening to was the speech that that minister (can't remember his name) gave - the one about racial harmony, "when yellow becomes mellow, black doesn't have to stay back, red man gets ahead man". Can't remember exact words sorry but it was along those lines. Great stuff!

One thing the NZ presenter of the programme said was that it looked like Joe Biden was waving far too enthusiastically AND JOYFULLY as George and his wife took off for Texas in the helicopter - kind of like he was saying "YEAH!!GOOD RIDDANCE"....lol! Whereas the Obamas were a lot more dignified and restrained.

Great viewing though, the whole programme.

Hatched, smashed :p it makes no difference . . . . look for an ugly doll in the mail come late February!:p:p

While I think they're neat and all, I don't want anyone wasting money on one. That's one of those things that I want, but it's not something I NEED. Simple friendship, mixed with a touch of love now and then, is all I need for my hatching day. ;)

Are you trying to stem the tide of ugly dolls that are possibly in route to you at this very moment?:D

Yes and no. I just can't see people spending hard earned money on silly things like this. There is always something that crops up for me that I NEED and this isn't one of them.

Sorry for

It's okay Ross - better than some of the alternatives. BTW, we have that little Thomas train up in our attic - a memory of when my son was young!
