It's official, just got off the phone with the sergeons secretary. Great news and scary news too. Going in wednesday mid day for pre checks or something and to meet the surgeon. Then joining the AVR gang thursday! Yikes....

Congratulations! It's scary but it will be over and done with before you know it.:) I've put you on the calendar and also started your surgery thread, so you're good to go!
Best wishes for a safe journey!

Good for you Woodbutcher.
Your pre-op tests will be a breeze. You'll do just fine.
Thoughts and prayers will be with you come Thursday.
You may want to cut your toe nails before you go cause it may be a while before you can reach that low......just a thought ;)

I only had 1/2 hour notice for pre-op tests and less than 24 hours before surgery.

Good Luck & Godspeed

Not a lot of time to get nervous- that's good! Best wishes on the pre-op and the surgery.

It looked scary to all of us before we had it. But, it is not. Go with a strong positive attitude and let us know how it went when you can.

Until then, my best wishes for Thursday and my prayers always for a successful surgery and a smooth recovery:)

Well no time to stress and worry as that would waste time and energy

glad you will soon have it over with and waitings the hardest by the way.

You will do GREAT.:)

The waiting is the worst part (so they tell me). Glad to hear you will be on the other side soon. Prayers coming your way. Post when you can.
