I only just qualify as a baby-boomer ...being born in 1964 (the last year of baby-boomers)...I am amongst the babies of that generation....
I actually dont feel that I am part of the Baby Boomer mob.

Mary, lets make the title "Valver King"....and then we'll sell the movie rights to Walt Disney and all get rich.:D

Dick,
Valver King sounds good to me, but you've got competition from Ms Hensylee!
We might have to crown you both!

Well, we would need a King and a Queen Both, wouldn't we?

Aussigal- I was born in '65 and thought I was way off from the
'baby boomers' . I know that my mom (62) says that she is one,
but I don't know how far that generation reaches(?)
Someone once told me that 'our' generation was labeled the
'lost' generation and that we are 1 generation before generation 'x'.
I don't know what the significance of "lost" is

The real "lost generation" are the European children who were born during the depression and became teens after WWII. That's what they were called.

(It's also the term for famous expatriate American authors between the world wars, but that has nothing to do with their ages.)

I always called us the "invisible generation" -- the handful of kids ignored by everyone between the baby boomers and the baby boomer's kids. It was funny to be called a "baby boomer" when I was a teen (I was born in '63; the baby boomers were my teachers, not my peers) and then for a while a Gen Xr (the Gen Xrs were my students, not my peers) before the media decided to go back to ignoring us again.

My parents are also from a small generation, born during the beginning of the depression.

My husband will be 59 in November and I will be 58 in December but we are very young at heart and have to be to keep up with our nine grandchildren ages 3 to 18.

I'm 31. Had my valve surgery when I was 25.

Does Janet get to vote for herself or for Katie? ;)

I'm happy to know that Dina and Ponygirl both feel as lost as I do in this generation stuff. We should have the honour of naming our own generation!

I was starting to feel like one of the spring chimps until Niki posted with her 31......:D

Glad I could be of service?

You know, I frequently have a hard time remembering that I'm in my 30s. I still feel about 24 at times... That is, until I get around ACTUAL 24 year olds... Then I feel about 80. ;)
