Well, I've been scheduled for a "right heart cath" on Friday, July 11th --- it's scheduled for 5:00 pm which means I will be spending the night at the hospital & hopefully be sprung next day if all goes well.

In the meantime, I have been in contact w/Cleveland Heart Institute & they have sent me a list of the 3-surgeons that specialize in high-risk re-op surgeries. They are Dr. Lytle, Pettersson, & Sabik. They advised me that they will be waiting to hear from me after my cardio does the cath & reviews the findings.

I have done a lot of thinking & I came to the conclusion that at 57 yrs old & the fact that I am very much in control of most of my senses, I am not ready to give in & wait to die.

If I'm gonna die from this, then so be it, but I'm NOT going down without a fight!
So here we go...............

I'll keep you posted! :)

Norma,

If you end up at the CC, I will come and give you support. Never give up while there is a choice to be made and always choose life. I am praying that things go well, they can see what needs to be done, and it is doable.

Best wishes for an easy cath.

Yup, Norma-

I've heard those exact words before coming from Joe, many times. It's the only thing that makes sense. If he were here and in the room with you, he'd give you a big hug and tell you to go for it!

You have done some excellent footwork with CC.

I hope he's looking down from heaven Nancy & giving me the sign's up!

Norma, my thoughts and prayers will be with you on Friday. I'm so glad to hear your excellent attitude. You can do this and come out better than ever!!

I will be thinking of you on friday. If positive attitude alone can win this fight than you beat it already. I will watch for your posts and send good thoughts your way.

I will be thinking of you on Friday. I like your attitude. It is so like my husbands also.

I'll be waiting for the results from the cath. I love your attitude, but I hope you can buy some more time before needing another surgery.

You go girl!!!!!! I had a feeling that you'd take the needed time to have a little pity party and then grab the bull by the horns. You remain in my prayers!

Norma....... You have the best attitude; that of a winner! You won't settle for less than total success and that is what we all wish for you.

We are all here rooting for you!!

Keep fighting the good fight- prayers that all will go well, and it sounds like you have the best attitude for things to come. I will be watching for updates, as others have mentioned.
Ingrid
