It's been my experience that men don't have very long memories.

DH "I can't remember the last time we....."
DW "But didn't we just do that about 20 minutes ago?"

;) :D
And on another topic! ;)

Baaaaaaaad weekend. But maybe indulging a little will kick-start me.

Friday was ailing MIL's 83 b-day - entire family went out to dinner at her favorite place to eat - the local VFW. They wouldn't know healthy cooking if it walked up and jumped on their stove. I had 6 pieces of fried shrimp - good protein in the shrimp - bad carbs on the breading. Then there was the cake.

Saturday - dinner on the lawn at the James Taylor concert - not too bad - but the people nextdoor to us brought over fudge brownie cupcakes. It would have been rude not to accept. And since they could see if I threw it away - I HAD to eat it.

Today - cookout for my music team - tantamount to a church covered dish event. One of my friends makes the most incredible candy with his mother that they sell at art fairs. He brought "cake balls" - chocolate cake with fudge in it, rolled into a ball, then into milk chocolate and nuts and they are experimenting with a new caramel corn recipe - caramel corn with hunks of fudge and caramel mixed in. (This is home made through and through.)

I've been so good, and so frustrated with no movement that I really don't feel bad about most of this. I have my Air Stepper out and am stepping away during commercials of Law and Order. Back on track tomorrow. I sent all the bad stuff away with the guests, so no more candy here.

A first for the Chimp (I think)??I hopped on the scales this morning and was down:D from Friday?..maybe I?m off the rollercoaster for a while and heading down hill?.I did have a cookout and two meals out since Friday but I controlled myself?.well as far as what I ingested:rolleyes::p

SuperPuppy

SuperPuppy

Okay, here is the source of Superbob's most demanding challenge, Superpuppy, the chocolate lab. This was at her "graduation" from the beginners level of obedience training Saturday. In Daisy's own words, "I do tricks for treats." :)

Superbob doesn't know if his son and family are ever going to take this bundle of energy back to their new home. Meanwhile, trying to take care of her is kicking the Man of Steel's butt. But maybe a few pounds will be shed as a result. :)

Cute:).....I suggest a treat per pound :D

She's Beee-u-tee-ful!
Jet wants to know if Daisy can come over to our house to play.

What a handsome dog Jet is! Superbob would be delighted for Daisy to have a playmate. Right now, she has our 8-year-old retriever/lab mix, Sadie -- and me, and both Sadie and I have senior levels of energy, hard-pressed to keep up with an 11-month old chocolate. I am just (finally) learning how to take pix to put online, so I will post one of Sadie one of these days. She's the real sweetie.

The caption under Daisy should be:
Supergrandpa, see how I'm trying to be good? Can I please live with you forever?" :D

I don't know what to do. Right now I don't know if I can do everything I have to do and survive this heat. Hopefully everything will work out for the best.

SuperBob would indeed need super powers to keep up with demands of SuperPup.......I have had two labs and they are a demand on ones time, energy and at times sanity:eek:.....watch that heat...is is almost unbearable!!!!

I was starting to feel mega sorry for myself. Then I went out after dinner and filled up the baby pool and watched two happy labs splash. That has to make you laugh. :D If I had a lake, it would be paradise for them. :)

Remember....dog spelled in reverse is God.......:)...if dogs playing in the water doesn't put a smile on your face nothing will......

Cooker's nuggets of wisdom...I feel "Wiser" already. :p

I'm not sure I could handle two big dogs at once. I can tell you love the beasts; what else are they for? Take care of yourself, enjoy your pooches, and don't over do it in the heat, Mr. Gungho.

What a great idea!...I bet they had a ball.

Daisy is so cute...puppies are so loveable but such hard work .

And how many sticks of butter have you lost?

And how many sticks of butter have you lost?

I am pleased to report that I have finally made it to 20 lbs off!:D Or as some of the old time weight watcher's put it...I've lost 80 sticks of butter. Now I've just got to get geared up to lose the next 4, 8, 12, 16, or 20 sticks.

I don't even wanna think about how many sticks of butter I have left to "melt" off at this point. I know it's not going to happen overnight...but it will happen.
