I did two days of the lovenox shots 2x day, then had to go to the hospital for testing on Sat. (I really need a home monitor) INR was 2.5 that day (yay) so didn't have to continue w/the shots.. started back on my 9 mg/day Sat. after two previous days of 18 mg. Today I went in and was 2.4, so I'll be alternating between the 9 mg. and 12 until Friday when I get tested again.

Al, I keep forgetting to ask my coumadin manager about the article.. I'll ask her on Friday.

Thanks again to all for your support!

I'm glad you are back in range, a good feeling indeed. Yes, you must get your own INR monitor. Your coumadin clinic can help you with paperwork and securing the monitor. I got my courtesy call from Tapestry Medical today letting me know they have my paperwork, now I wait for the call to say "It's here". :)
