This is a post from another forum I'm a member of. I thought it was clever so I thought I share it.

okay folks, we are all familiar (or some of us would have grown up with)
A is for apple, b is for ball, c is for cat etc....

but times have moved on so maybe, just maybe we ought to change this set of letter learning tool.

Here's my suggestion, please suggest or feedback if you have other ideas...

A is for apps
B is for blog
C is for chat
D is for download
E is for email
F is for flickr
G is for google
H is for hack
I is for icon
J is for junk
K is for keyboard
L is for link
M is for myspace
N is for newbie
O is for online
P is for paypal
Q is for quit
R is for routing
S is for skype
T is for transfer
U is for upload
V is for virus

Just received an e-mail regarding this 'new tech', but what is it?
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but seeing this word twice got me thinking "is this something new one has to learn"?

I know other members here have used skype. It is similar to yahoo messenger I believe, but better? I haven't used it though.

I use Skype. You download it for free, you can call other people for free (talk through the speakers on your computer) and I have a logitech video cam attached to the computer so we can see and talk to our grandchildren who also have one.- all for free (except the cost of the video cam if you want to go that way.

Thanks Phyllis and Ross. I need to do that. My daughter is teaching in France until May of next year and we need to start using this. Problem is that right now they just have her living in a boarding house and there are no internet cafes in the small town she's in. Once they move her into the apartment, she's going to get internet access.
