postng from my hospital bed,the surgery took place at 7:00m on Tues. morning. All went well except that we had to do a replacment vs. the repair. It appears the infection caused three large holes in the leaflet. I chose A St. Jude mechanical before the surgery. I am progressing well, have been sitting up, walkng and drainage tubes were removed this morning. Plan is to be out of the hospital Saturday.
Thanks gain for the knowledge and support.

Great going Phil, welcome to this side of the mountain. You sound like a man on a mission and a definite plan. Remember to take it slow and listen to your body, the Skyline will wait.

I don't know about that. Some of us are pretty diehard Skyline lovers.;) :D I think that is the first place I went when I got out of the hospital.

Glad to hear that it went well; sorry that you had to have replacement rather than a repair
I'm curious about your avatar . . . is your son overseas?
Currently I have one home from Iraq, but he goes back at the end of next week.
