It started yesterday morning. While doing a jig-saw puzzle. No excerise involved. I could feel on upper left side of my heart pain. I could point to the area where it hurt. I figured it was just mussel pain since it would go away within a minute. That continued off and on all day. Then early evening I started to feel the inside of my left arm feeling numb which didn't go away.

I slept fine last night but I'm still having this heart pain and my left arm kinda feels weak.......maybe a little numb. Is this a minor thing or duh should I head over to see the Doc? It seems so minor and I don't want to waste her time.

P.S.
When I lightly rub the upper and lower area of the inside of my left arm, my fingers tingle, this can't be a good sign.

Need input from everyone, before it gets to late in the day.
Thanks

Call your doc

Call your doc

DEFINATELY call your doc!!

I had arm tingling which moved into my face in the hospital and it was a TIA which is a kind of stroke. (Not trying to scare you but it is definately worth a call)

I also had pain around the heart area which was just bruising of the soft tissue and required no treatment other than resting

But you just cant be sure unless you consult with your doctor or nurse.
Good luck.

When in doubt - check it out!

So far you're at a 100% response for call.

It might be nothing, or some strange nerve healing thing. But peace of mind is a great medicine.

Pain in the Chest, Arm, Jaw, Neck, Upper Back (especially between the shoulder blades) are ALL symptoms of Coronary Artery Disease and should be checked out ASAP, preferably in an ER where they can actually TREAT you if there is a problem.

When it comes to a Heart Attack or Stroke, there are LOTS of things that can be done to PREVENT permanent damage IF you get there in the first FEW Hours.

Don't Wait !

Thanks for the replies guys.

Just returned from seeing the Doc. My ECG is good, arteries are good, blood work is just fine. No sign of stroke or heart attack.

It seems that it's just mussel pain. Gotta stretch the left arm over the edge of the bed to pull those mussels in the upper chest. Its a problem with me since the Doc. noticed that my left arm/shoulder was healing crooked earlier in my recovery.

Thanks Again Guys.

Don't scare me like that:eek:

I had something similar when I would play cards too long....muscle pain, numbness, then tingling.
It happened soon after my OHS and I was also very concerned.
If you are doing puzzles, make sure to move your arms down low and give them a rest.

Bina,
I didn't mean to scare you or anyone................besides myself. I just wanted more input in regards of what I was feeling.

How's your sister doing? Better yet how are you doing now that you have had two scares this week? (your sis and now me)

Freddie,
I'm not scared, I'm glad you are ok.
My BIL didn't call me today with any news, so as usual I will take matters into my own hands and call the hospital tomorrow.
Thanks for asking.
