urine c/s found ....

hi, In my annual routine check up , in right kidney noticed cyst. Doctor advised to test Urine C/S.Found colony count >1lack and Organism noticed KLEBSIELLA+PSEUDOMONUS PRESENT. Doctor advised Amikacin 500mg Antibiotic. What you advise? will it effect INR?

AFAIK, antibiotics can affect INR, some one way and some the other. Let your anticoag pharmacist know about it right away, and you'll probably want to keep a closer eye on the test results. Just remember, that effects on INR are usually delayed, so if you have to adjust your dosage to compensate, you'll probably want to bring it back as soon as you stop taking the antibiotic, rather than waiting for your INR to bounce back the other way.

Thanks clay . Advice ME How TO AVOID KIDNEY INFECTIONS?Is it really dangerous ? Now day's I am worried much ABOUT these infections.
