It is hard believe it has been two years today since my life-saving surgery.
I was getting prepped for surgery at this very hour!
The good people on this forum were instrumental in helping me make the right choice of valve for me.
They also helped me prepare myself physically, spiritually and psychologically for surgery.
They helped me through my uneventful recovery.
Life is back to normal. My heart has returned to normal size.
My heart function is excellent.
My INR is stable in my desired range of 2.0 to 2.5.
I self test...no more going to the lab (Coaguchek Meter).

My ON-X valve is doing just fine!

Thanks to Dr. Joseph E. Bavaria and the staff at the University of Pennsyvania Hospital for saving my life!
LIFE IS GOOD!

Congrats! I almost had Dr BAvaria but decided to stay on the Jersey side of the river to make it easier for my family to visit me. I know he is a "Top Doc". Glad to hear you are doin well.

Hey great to here. I had my surgery with Dr Bavaria on February 7th. Starting to feel more normal everyday. I have a follow up with him on Tuesday so here's hoping he clears me to drive.
