after taking Tricor for 4 years (half of a 145mg tablet), my PCP requested I take the full tablet every night. Very quickly, I started to receive leg and hip pain. I stopped, and the pain went away. I then started again, and quickly the severe pain came back. I explained the muscle pain and both doctors said that it wasn't the Tricor. I am a fit guy who had to use a cane to walk. This is crazy, but I don't agree that these cholesterol lowering drugs are for everybody. Anybody else have complications with Tricor? btw, I'm walking much better, and the day after I stopped taking it, I felt almost immediate improvement in walking and much less pain.

TriCor is NOT a statin drug but I have to wonder if COQ10 would help ........I am on Lipitor that IS a statin and I now take 250mg CoQ10/day it has helped greatly and my cholestoral is kept in line .......................
