My daughter is 38 and will be going through valve replacement or hopefully repair for 2 valves. Two years ago she went into cardiac arrest due to low potassium and now has a defibrillator in case it happens again. She also has mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation that has gone from mild to severe and has to have the surgery very soon. She was suppose to go to Cleveland Clinic but her insurance wont cover something out of N.Y.S so she has a consultation at Strong Memorial in Rochester NY on the 5th of January with Dr. Peter Knight. I would like to know if any one has heard of this Doctor and if so what. Her cardiologist feels it may not be able to be done non invasive but we are hoping for this outcome I think the mitral valve and the tricuspid if that is what you call it is the valves that are of concern . Has anyone ever had this surgery for those valves done noninvasive? Or had anything to do with this hospital. It is scary to have your daughter go through this let alone remembering what happened to her 2 years ago and how traumatic it was. I don't know what to expect from the surgery. If anyone can give me any kind of information at all I would greatly appreciate it
