Ian Millar is 61 - our Canadian Equestrian rider and his 9th Olympic games and
his first medal.

It was TEAM Show Jumping.....Jill Henselwood's horse rattled a rail and it came down, giving the U.S. team gold and Canada silver.

Yea, Canada (and USA)....and hey you Canadians are real powers in the Winter Olympics -- just one medal behind US in 2006 Games, and I bet at the 2010 Vancouver Games, you'll be up on the podium a lot. Some of my best Olympic memories are the Winter Games -- the one in Lake Placid comes to mind.

We are very lucky in Canada, one of the CBC affiliates--BOLD on Star Choice Satellite--is broadcasting every equestrian event in its entirety.
That was Eventing, Dressage Show Jumping. Every horse and rider competing.
The events are shown live in the a.m. and repeated in the early evening the same day. I'm delirious.
Ian made the podium--good for him.
Now onto the individual where I hope they do as well as to-day--Americans and Canadians.
Horse lover's Utopia? Eric Lamaze and McLain Ward having a jump-off for Gold.
