How about your NYHA class before surgery and after it?

This may be so obvious that it's a silly question to ask but.....what's an NYHA class?

NYHA CLASS

I No symptoms and no limitation in ordinary physical activity.

II Mild symptoms and slight limitation during ordinary activity.
Comfortable at rest.

III Marked limitation in activity due to symptoms, even during less-than-ordinary activity.Comfortable only at rest.

IV Severe limitations. Experiences symptoms even while at rest.

I'm Class I before and after.

I was horrible before my surgery...now I have pretty excellent exercise tolerance, though I need to do more of it!

NYHA classes

Before AVR surgery I went from III to IV in a short amount of time. Now I am a Class I.
