Hey Kathy I was young when I had my AVR also (61) LOL. The murmur was first found at 40 then at 61 I was needing a new hip and had sever AS. I got it done then 6 months later got the hip. Have done great except for now having pneumonia and a lung cancer scare. I am home and recovering fine. This is a great group. Lots of information and even more love and support.
