Thanks Nancy,
I already belong to PHA Website, just have to get reaquainted with it, and I have seen the CHFPatients website as well, so I will be referring to them quite frequently from here on out, and thank you for your never ending support....I won't tell you that I am not scared, because I am, but thankfully, Mass General Is The Quality Hospital That They Are!!!

I understand why you are scared. Joe was also just before he was to take all the tests necessary and get started on his new regimen of medications. As we were driving to the hospital to see his PH specialist for the first time, he was feeling just awful and looked it too, he was sort of a bluish white. He turned to me and asked, "Do you think I am going to make it? I feel terrible." I said, "You damned fool, why the heck do you think we are going to all this trouble to get things corrected."

I don't think you are feeling as bad as he did, he was not able to walk at all without almost passing out, and for the most part, was just sitting on the sofa. And he did spend quite a bit of time in the hospital. So, I feel they will have you on a good road fairly fast, once all the tests are done. Tracleer is extremely expensive, so all these tests are necessary in order to get someone to pay for Tracleer. They have to prove that it is going to be of help to you.

Wish you all the best, Harry. You have been such a brave man through all this stuff, and put up with an awful lot of inadequate doctoring. You will be in my prayers.

No Nancy, I know I am not as bad off as Joe was, right now what happens is that if I climb stairs or walk any distance or do any lifting, I get VERY VERY short of breath and tired and thats about it, but as I have said, taking a nitro before I do any walking or exertion helps immensly, so I know that it is the PH causing this, now all I can do is wait and see how bad off I am.....I am wondering if Medicare or Medicaid will cover the tracleer as I have been told its about $3000.00 per MONTH....I don't know what I will do if they don't cover it...

I'm pretty sure they will cover it, if the tests all show that it will help. When they do the cath, they will do a drug challenge which will show what will work for you. In order to get Joe's insurance to cover it, the doctor had to write a little grant proposal (sort of), but when it was reviewed, Tracleer was paid for.

Some people respond well to Revatio too.

Hey Harry,

Thoughts/prayers coming your way, bud.....
