Ann, don't forget to take the painkillers before the pain comes. I highly recommend percocet: it does a little for the pain and gives me a nice nap.

I have darvocet and think it must be the same thing. hard to walk, isn't it? this morning both of mine are in a sore mess, but the swelling has gone down some. guess having feet up overnight helped some. Already have knee trouble and this surely won't help things.

I swelled up tremendously because of the coumadin. I had darvocet after AVR, and it was good stuff. My leg still hurts a lot when I first get up and when I try to stand on it for a while. However, if I'm walking around on it, it's fine.

I have blue and abrased knees. some swelling in the one that hit the ground first. Woke up a lot last night; it seems it will not be something that will keep me down for too long.

I don't use coumadin. If so, I'd have gone straight to the ER.
