My hubby, who is on coumadin and just got a Harley about 6 weeks ago,did a charity run for Muscular Distrophy on Saturday. There were over 100 bikes and they had a police escort to the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The pace car led them around the track for 12 laps. He said he got up to 98 miles per hour on the bank. As much as I did not want him to get one it is worth it to see and hear how excited he was when he got home. I have been on several rides with him. I skipped this one to spend time by the pool with the grandkids.

So glad Terry had a good time doing the charity run. What a great feeling he probally had on being able to do something like that after OHS. Keep it up.
God Bless,
Crystal :)

How fun! My husband would be jealous. (But I wouldn't want to be on the back at 98!)

Woodbutcher, I won't tell him you said that. He has wanted a Harley for a long time and I did not want him to have one. I was scared for him to ride. Well, life is short and I finally gave in and we have been on several rides together and he is going on a weeks vacation with some guys from work next summer. They intend to ride 200-300 miles a day. They did not take any pictures but a guy did have a video camera mounted on his bike and video taped the whole thing and put it to music. We have a copy of the video but I have not learned to post pictures, videos, etc. Dont' tell my boss though because I am an IT System Administrator for the county government in Ga.

my SIL's brother is in some of that Atlanta biking. he's a retired policeman and spends lots of time on his bike. they might run into each other - name's Nolan (first name). he had heart attack and bypasses a few years ago. loves that bike. is in a club.

Ann, the Harley clubs all seem to have alot of friendly people. When we were younger most bikers were more like Hells Angels(we lived in Calif.) Now most Harley owners are in their 40s and older. My hubby is really enjoying it.
