how long do the night sweats go for?

Hi all
My fiances night sweats have been going for over a month post op now and Im wanting to know if this is normal or if we should get it checked out.
If you had night sweats how long did they last for? He wakes in the night dripping wet

I only had one of those "extreme" nightsweats where I woke up drenched and that was during my first
week postop. Nurses said it had to do with my system reacting to all the drugs and surgery, but I stopped ALL
pain meds except for regular Tylenol after that and was fine.
Is your fiance taking pain meds, this could be a cause.

I only had two nights of sweats. They occurred about 3 or 4 weeks post-op, but I had some complications so my recovery schedule hasn't been the same as anyone else's. Now I'm 6 weeks post-op and only have monor sweating at night when it gets warm in the house and blankets are too heavy (I'm in Chicago, so it still feels like winter here).

Two OHS and I never had night sweats, THANKFULLY. I dreaded that but got lucky and it didn't happen to me.
