Not post MVR, but post AVR I had really serious rhythm issues. My heart went fast, went slow, skipped beats, and finally would stop for 15-20 seconds, then re-start on its own. They tried for a couple of days to control with meds, but we finally went with a pacemaker to keep HR in proper working range and a beta blocker to keep it from going too high. Still have occasional runs of A-flutter, borderline V-tach, and who knows what else, but since these episodes have almost always been short, no ongoing meds or issues.
