Hi all. Its been awhile since I posted.
I had a total root replacement on May 7th and recovery went well. This was my 2nd valve replacement in 7 years.
I had my 6 month echo a couple days ago and they have found that the gradient across the valve has increased from 25 to 35.
Granted echo's are not the most reliable to measure this since there is so much noise produced from the artificial valve itself.
But besides that the question I have has anyone experienced and increase in gradient with it stablizing later and dropping down again.
There were many factors with my base line number of 25.
The big one was my redblood cell count was bottomed out at 7000 so this can affect a reading as well. Currently I am still slightly low at about 12000. Norm is 14000
Just want to get a feel if anyone else has had a similar issue.
