(1) one app 5 days post-op, wasnt too revealing since I couldnt move into the tech/docs favourite scanning position !

(2) app 3 weeks post-op, not much change

(3) 15 week post-op, looks as if LV is almost back to normal size!!

knowing my cardio, i reckon another one later on this year ;)

Jim's cardio said no further need for echos as he isn't having any symptoms and his heart's fixed. Basically, why waste an appointment proving that you're fine, when other people are waiting weeks or months for scans who are experiencing symptoms. Of course, this is within the NHS where we don't pay for tests of this type.
Makes sense to me though and concurs with the AHA guidelines on mechanical valves.
