Flying with oinker mitral valve

Hello! I was just wondering-we are taking my mom to San Diego in January for a vacation. Is there anything we should know about flying, etc? She will be also taking with her a Medtronic home heart monitor, as she has a biventricular pacemaker. Any thoughts and /or suggestions would be most appreciated-thanks so much!! Deb

There is nothing to worry about with the valve, BUT since she has a pacer, she needs to let them know since she can't go thru the metal detector. Does she have her card? That is what we showed them when Justin had the pacer. Lyn
