Magic:

Your experience is very common and scary. But take heart that it is nothing lifethreatening or dangerous. It is vertigo. I have had it since I was 16. The first time I had an attack I was driving down the freeway and almost crashed into the side of the freeway. I have probably only had 20 or so attacks in my life some of which have caused me to not be able to walk and feel like vomiting.

If it happens a lot you can get meds. Sometimes it may go on for an hour or day. My longest was a week. There are techniques you can learn to help the symptoms. Next time it happens, keep you eyes open and focus on one point in the room such as an object. This will help you not get so dizzy. And I HIGHLY recommend that you avoid spinning rides at amusement parks.

Hope this helps ease your concerns.
