Just rang the hospital that is doing my surgery to find out what is going on, my surgeon is on holiday but said he will do my surgery first week in November when he is back. He also happens to be the only surgeon in New Zealand who does the Ross Procedure so hopefully he doesnt change his mind. Have also had the pleasure of my surgeon being at a different hospital than my specialist, the surgeons hospital didnt even have my phone numbers so not quite sure how they intended to contact me, carrier pigeon maybe? Gotta love New Zealand's health system.

I not 100% sure what his name is but looking at Mercy's website it could be Peter, I'm sure that's the name Waikato Hospital gave me, he does mostly private surgeries? I am having it done through the Auckland DHB which as far as i am aware is done through Auckland City Hospital rather than Greenlane now, but if they want to send me private i have no objections! It's weird because other than my phone call this morning I have had no contact from Auckland. My specialist at Waikato said he kept sending them letters frequently to make sure they dont forget about me so I am grateful for that
