Colonography Over Colonoscopy In Patients On Blood Thinners

I had a colonoscopy on Jan 25. I was terrified to go off coumadin since my INR has not be steady for some time. I had to stop coumadin 3 days before the procedure and start lovenox shots. The day of surgery my INR was 5.3 I think. I had to take the shots along with coumadin for 7 more days at home. They removed polys and I bleed for almost 3 days. I stoptted the shots on my own. And the bleeding stopped finally. I actually thought I wa going to bleed to death. I think they should find better ways to do procedures on people who are using blood thinners. I haven't had my INR checked it was supposed to be today but due to our bad weather I can't get out. Now that I have to have the scopes done every 2 yrs. maybe this new technique will work better. Thanks for the info!
Is this the same thing as a virtual colonoscopy???
