Cardios in Dallas TX?

A friend of my youngest sister is needing names of cardiologists in the north Dallas/Garland area.
Her doctor has referred her to a cardio, but she wants more names.
I don't know the nature of the cardiac problem.

I told my sister about the cardiologist I went to in Dallas, whose practice is at the heart hospital at Baylor University Medical Center, but she wants more names.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Dr. Melissa Carry, Cardiology Consultants of Texas at Baylor downtown. She is amazing. i have been really, really happy with her.

My cardio is Eric Eichhorn. He's fabulous. He's part of the Dallas Heart Group, which offices both at Baylor heart hospital in Plano and Medical City. His group includes a Dr. Brown, and a female, East Indian lady whose name escapes me (Gupta maybe). There are a couple more, but I'm lousy with names. Main no. is 972-566-7733.

I think I met the entire practice group during my initial hospitalization/testing and they were all pretty nice, warm, friendly and competent. Plus the practice staff is just AWESOME. Responsive, proponents of self-testing, and ok with me self-dosing, and willing to answer any and all questions. The only downside is the durned telephone tree. Leave a message for the scheduler and she will (eventually) get back to you. I usually leave a message for my nurse on her direct dial, and one of the nurses calls back pretty quickly if it's a serious issue. They did lots of telephone hand holding during my recovery.

Hi Marsha,
I see Dr Martin Berk with the CIVA group. He studied under Dr John Barlow. I started seeing him shortly after my surgery when I became dissatisfied with my cardio of 13 yrs. I have been really happy with him.

My cardiologist is Dr. Stephen Johnston of Cardiologist Consultants of Texas. He works with Dr. Carry and I have seen her several times as well. They are located at Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart Hospital off of Gaston and Hall Street, number is 21-824-8721. Carla.

I used Dr. Steven Meyer at Presby but recently switched to Dr. John Osborne in Grapevine. Osborne owns the new place called "State of the Heart". They have all the latest equipment for 3D imaging and really are a first class outfit.

Update!

My sister called to thank y'all for the list of cardios in Dallas. She was the patient, not a friend as she had told me. Guess she didn't want anyone in the family to get concerned.

She saw Brentd's doctor, Dr. Melissa Carry, and liked her. She had a stress test and will need a CT scan, I think she said. (John was trying to take care of making cornbread muffins when she called, so I was a little distracted.)
