What is "fibrosclerotic" sells in the coronary cusps. In the epicrisis, my surgeon has written about finding such cells in the replaced valve. Does anybody know anythink about that? Is that the normal process of damaging of the defective bicuspid valves?

Ivo

Ivo- I may be wrong, but I think it is just another term for thickening of the valve:
fibrosclerosis, thickening and/or cal-. cificationsatleafletsand/orannulusofthemitraland/or. the aortic valve

then?

then?

Does it mean, that my valve was on the way to become stenotic soon, if it wasn,t replaced by the time? Or stenosis and fibrosclerosis are different things?

stenosis is a result of fibrosclerosis.

Stenosis is a narrowing of the opening caused by the thickening/calcification of the valve leaflets.
