Interesting article, but it fails to mention minimally invasive surgery as another option instead of OHS. It seems, in this article, as if OHS were the only other way to repair/replace mitral valves.

The clip seems pretty effective, but it will have to be seen what the long-term effectiveness of it will be (re-op, etc.)

I heard about this on the news tonight. Amazing. I will be interested to see about long term effects.
